Les Editeurs de Maison&Objet. / Maison&Objet's Editeurs

Si existe un lugar interesante y fascinante para los apasionados del mundo de la decoración, ése es, sin lugar a dudas, la feria Maison&Objet. La edición 2013 de esta feria comienza hoy y estará abierta hasta el 22 de Enero. Dentro de la misma, la más importante sección que podemos encontrar es la de Editeurs – editores textiles -. Sin duda el corazón de la tendencia en decoración.

If there is an interesting and fascinating place for the people who are passionate by the world of decoration, that one is, without a doubt, the fair Maison & Objet. The 2013 edition of the fair starts today and runs until January 22nd. Within it, the most important section we can find is the Editeurs' one- textile editors-. Undoubtedly, the heart of the trend in decoration.

¿Por qué son tan importantes los editores? Digamos que éstos son los grandes modistos del mundo de la decoración, abarcando un amplio abanico en cuanto a producto. Un editor presenta telas de todo tipo y para todos los espacios – desde las tapicerías, las telas para cortinas, ropa de cama, visillería...y por supuesto algo que en los últimos años ha hecho furor: los papeles pintados . Cuentan con sus propios diseños en exclusiva que seleccionan entre una amplia gama de fabricantes, especializados en los diferentes productos. La mayoría de estos Editeurs se surten de dichos fabricantes por toda Europa. Sin embargo, en el caso de Ybarra&Serret se ha apostado por la marca España, y por ello la cadena de creación y producción se desarrolla en nuestro país.

Why are the editors so important? Let's say these are the great couturiers of the world of decoration, embracing a wide range in terms of product. An editor has fabrics of all kinds and for all areas - from the upholstery, fabrics for curtains, for bedrooms, lace curtains ... and of course something that in recent years has been all the rage: wallpapers. They have their own exclusive designs that select from a wide range of manufacturers, specialized in different products. Most of these Editeurs are supplied by manufacturers throughout Europe. However, in the case of Ybarra & Serret, they have opted for the brand "Spain", and so the entire chain of creation and production takes place in this country.

Si hay algo que verdaderamente diferencia a unos editores de otros, son sus estampados. Cada firma cuenta con un estilo propio al que es fiel y que se refleja de manera especial en sus telas. Así, cada director creativo imprime su estilo personal. En el caso de Coqui Ybarra, la directora de Ybarra&Serret, da su toque especial a los diseños, los cuales realiza de la forma más tradicional, dibujando sobre el propio lienzo sus ideas y con un trabajo muy cuidado en  la forma de tratar el color con pinceladas acuareladas. En el trabajo de todo este año se refleja un colorido optimista y alegre, del que ya hemos hablado anteriormente.

If there is something that really distinguishes one editor from the others, it is its prints. Each firm has a unique style that is true to, and that is reflected especially on its fabrics. Thus, each creative director prints his/her personal style. Coqui Ybarra, director at Ybarra & Serret, gives her special touch to the designs, that she creates in the more traditional way, drawing her ideas on the canvas itself and with a very careful way on the treatment of colors, by watercolors brushstrokes. In the work of this year optimistic and cheerful colors are reflected, as we have said before.
